The Director, Performance Excellence is a primary leader within the Commercial Operations organization supporting the VP of Performance Excellence on driving performance improvement efforts. This role is accountable for identifying client, client development, and enterprise performance improvement opportunities and designing strategic initiatives intended to deliver meaningful, time-bound impact.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Conifer Group / Market Client Executives and Operations Partners to effectively design high-impact initiatives with clear objectives / KPIs that will meaningfully improve client, client development, and enterprise performance, coordinating with stakeholders across all levels (C-suite to frontline staff) and deploying themselves (as needed) into various parts of the enterprise to execute strategic initiatives addressing identified performance deficiencies, driving key initiatives end-to-end, and supporting ad hoc projects to support performance improvement and other client / internal requests (e.g., process standardization, developing training materials for facility staff). This role collaborates heavily with the VP of Performance Excellence, Client Executives, and Operations Partners to provide standard updates on initiative progress to client and Conifer leaders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

â�¢ Analyzes client and internal performance reporting dashboards to determine outside-in hypotheses of potential improvement opportunities to conduct due diligence into and explore further with relevant stakeholders from across the enterprise
â�¢ Collaborates with Group / Market Client Executives to leverage market-level insights to identify client performance improvement opportunity areas
â�¢ Works within a team responsible for performance initiatives, ensuring objectives / KPIs are met and will deliver significant, time-bound impact on client, client development, and enterprise performance
â�¢ Coordinates with stakeholders across all levels (C-suite to frontline staff) to effectively execute upon improvement initiatives addressing sustained client, client development, and enterprise performance deficiencies
â�¢ Drives key strategic initiatives end-to-end and deploys themselves throughout the enterprise (where / as needed) to ensure successful execution of key performance improvement initiatives
â�¢ Supports additional ad hoc client and Conifer-requested initiatives and projects to bolster performance improvement (e.g., process standardization, developing training materials for facility staff, trend analysis within specific RCM processes and enterprise functions)
â�¢ Supports Salesâ�� efforts to develop new clients, including external â��consulting projectsâ�� for potential or existing clients
â�¢ Fosters a high-performance culture focused on delivering excellent performance for all internal / external stakeholders and providing ample development opportunities for the Conifer team across the enterprise
â�¢ Continuously seeks out areas to innovate and advance client, client development, and enterprise performance by improving efficiencies, reducing cost or enhancing yield through new technology, tools, and processes

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (Specify Revenue/Budget/Expense):
Responsible for tackling issues that could potentially result in several millions in lost revenue or decelerated cash for a major health system

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.
â�¢ 4 year college degree in business administration, finance, health administration, or other quantitative field
â�¢ Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD, MD) preferred
â�¢ Distinctive academic performance in a challenging curriculum preferred
â�¢ 4-8 years experience in attacking ambiguous business problems with potentially limited subject matter expertise;
â�¢ Experienced with data, conducting quantitative analysis and depicting the data visually in a way that highlights the insights and story line;
â�¢ Comfortable communicating and presenting to executives, front line staff, and everyone in between;
â�¢ Proven success developing and implementing business initiatives, change management, and bringing together disparate team members to successfully deliver client solutions;
â�¢ Experience working in a professional services firm (e.g., consulting, investment banking) preferred.
