Qualifications
What You Will Need: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: - Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Internet skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work and willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays etc.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to change.
- Knowledge of the switchboard.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - High School Diploma or GED upon hire
- Previous experience in a medical setting, ie. Physician Office, Hospital preferred
- Basic Insurance Knowledge preferred
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Patient Access, is responsible for day to day monitoring of work flow in a specific area of patient registration. Acts as a resource to the staff for operational issues and to any other customer who needs assistance. Complete Daily change request, balances cash, goes to the bank, take care of the switchboard keeping patients/customers connected to the correct patient or department.
