Coordinates the credentialing and privilege delineation process for the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals. Coordinates with and confers with other personnel involved in the credentialing process, resolving issues and communicating all activities to the Manager of the department. Provides administrative and clerical support to Department Chiefs/Division Directors and Credentials Review Committee by obtaining and verifying the information required to make pertinent credentialing decisions. Maintains knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws and related documents, TJC and NCQA accreditation standards and other relevant requirements from external agencies such as the Department of Public Health and the relevant Massachusetts licensing boards.
Qualified candidate will have high school diploma or equivalent; two years of college preferred. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be well organized for prioritization of responsibilities and able to meet deadlines. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information and adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions.
3 years of credentialing or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
Strong computer software experience required including Microsoft Office programs
