The Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Institute Marketing Manager is responsible for promoting the Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Institute by actively developing and directing marketing, public relations and community outreach plans. The Marketing Manager plans and implements educational events to benefit the community and ensure that specials events are well planned and executed, innovative and financially successful. Participates in outreach to local and regional businesses and service organizations. The Marketing Manager is also the principal liaison between JJCCI, Marketing Department, Memorial Medical Center Foundation and outside organizations. Plans and Implements various volunteer programs to benefit pediatric cancer patients.
Essential Job Outcomes & Functions
Develops and produces publications which communicate the center’s mission, and effectively markets its services and image. Coordinates with LBMMC marketing staff to enhance JJCCC, MCH and TCI name recognition.
Plans and implements education events to benefit the community and ensure that special events are well planned and executed, innovative and financially successful.
Responsible for growing the restricted endowments for JJCCC which provides operational support for the center. This is accomplished through event fund-raising, grant writing and collaboration with the MMCF in identifying donors.
Participates in outreach to local and regional business, and service organizations to market JJCCC and to impart information about services offered.
Plans and implements various volunteer programs to benefit pediatric cancer patients.
Serves as a liaison between outside organizations and JJCCC physicians and staff to coordinate the JJCCC speakers bureau.
Collaborates with the PR/Marketing Department to develop PR for special events and outreach activities.
Minimum Requirements/Work Experience:
At least four years progressive experience in community outreach, special events, volunteer management, fund raising and marketing/public relation.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Health Administration or Education or equivalent work experience
